GeoDirectory Location Manager
If your directory website covers more than one city, you will need GeoDirectory Location Manager. With GeoDirectory Location Manager, you can expand your directory and go global.
- Unlimited locations. – With GeoDirectory Location Manager, you can create unlimited locations for your listings.

A central part of any multi-location directory is being able to switch between locations, our smart location switcher makes this very easy.
- Automatic location suggestions based on your location. – Opening the location switcher presents a list of the closest cities based on their proximity to your location. Users will always have the most relevant suggestions.
- AJAX based location suggestions. – Start typing the location you want to see, and AJAX will look for any location stored in the database.

Smart location searches
- Smart location searches. – The Nearby field in the directory search bar has the same smart geolocation features as the location switcher. Location searches are quick and easy for your users.
- Show current location. – The search bar will show the current location. Users know exactly where they are looking. Simply hovering over the field will display an X which can clear the field and allow the user to search for a new location.
- Location-aware URL. – “Near me” searches always contain the GPS in the URL. Selecting near me from the location switcher will result in a nice permalink that's easy to share with friends: /location/near me/39.952371,-75.163601/
- Autocomplete with location awareness. – When combined with our advanced search plugin, GeoDirectory Location Manager can filter AJAX search suggestions to be limited to just the current location (or set to search all locations based on your directory needs)
Advanced Filtering with GeoDirectory Location Manager
- GPS support for mobile phones. – When performing a nearby search on the mobile, the GPS improves the accuracy.
- HTML5 geolocation support. – Asking users to share their location in the browser (HTTPS required) provides much higher accuracy than old-style IP geolocation.
- Alternative map pin support. – If HTML5 geolocation fails or is denied, the user will be presented with a map so they can drag a pin to the location they want to search for. This map automatically focuses on the geolocation of the IP request, which means that you will never be far from the real location of the user.

- Location switch. – Our location switcher allows users to filter the site by database location, near me, or proximity to any location.
- locations. – This widget generates a list or grid of images of locations on your site. Results can be limited to a specific area and can use ajax pagination.
- Near Me Button. – Display a button anywhere that takes the user to a location page that shows the closest listings to the user.
- Location description. – Shows the description of the current location. It is used to display a custom description for a location page, edit it below each location in the admin area.
Simplified administration controls
- Find locations. – WordPress native table views mean you can effortlessly search and find the locations you want.
- Merging of duplicate locations. – Similar locations can end up in your database, either because of user spelling or a wrong import name. We have a tool that allows you to merge these two locations, automatically fixing all permalinks for the affected listings.
- A quick snapshot of the numbers. – See exactly how many listings you have in a country, region or city.
