MB Custom Table

MB Custom Table is an extension of the Meta Box plugin that helps you save data in a custom table instead of the default post/user/term meta table. All meta values are saved in a single row, and each column serves as a meta key.

This reduces the number of rows in the database, which can cause performance issues as data grows. It also allows you to keep all your data in one place, so you can easily view, edit, import, and export it.

Why use MB Custom Table?

By default, WordPress uses metatables to store metadata (custom fields). To accommodate a wide range of needs, WordPress uses a flexible database structure, where each custom field is stored as a row with four columns. While this seems fine initially, as your data grows, the number of rows in the database increases very quickly.

Let's take an example: if you are using WooCommerce, each order (a custom post type) requires more than 40 custom fields as follows.
