With GravityView's default table and list layouts, you can create stunning layouts using only Gravity Forms input data. But List design is stubborn - we created a design that would work well for most needs, not all needs. DIY Layout is the layout for the rest of your needs.
You'll want a DIY design if:
- You want more flexibility than the List layout
- Find yourself using custom content fields a lot
- Modify the content of the field with filters or actions
- Have you ever overridden GravityView field templates
