LearnPress Assignment Addon is a great way to assign homework, essays for your students so they can do it at home and submit it. Teachers can review student work after that and grade the assignment.

- Based on the increasing demand for Assignments and allowing instructors to grade assignment, we have released LearnPress Assignment Addon.
- With LearnPress Assignment Addon, your course will be more flexible so instructors can create assignments, essay assignments, and set a deadline for the student to submit their work. After that, the instructor can check the student's work and grade their performance. There will be email notifications to students when their assignments have been graded.
- With LearnPress Assignment Addon, you'll have another way to grade and won't be too reliant on quizzes. You can enable students and instructors to communicate and discuss and generate better results.
What does LearnPress Assignment Addon look like on the front-end of your WordPress website?
It depends on the theme you are using. This is how the Student List will appear for the default theme.
- Before doing the assignment: Students can read the assignment description and click the “Start” button to start reading more details about the assignment and submit their answer.
- After clicking Launch: Students can see more details of the assignment, can download attachments for the assignment, and can add their own answer and upload files for the instructor.
- After Submit: Your students can choose to SAVE their answer so they can come back later, make edits, and SUBMIT the answer later. Clicking SAVE will save your responses to the database, but will not send the response to instructors. Below is the screenshot of what students will see once they have SUBMITTED the answer.
- After the grade, the student can check the grade in the course or can also access it from their profile.
What does LearnPress Assignment Addon look like on the back-end?
Once you installed the LearnPress Assignment plugin, you will see a new Announcement tab in the backend and during course creation, you will see another type of lesson besides the traditional lesson and quiz: Assignment.
- Assignment settings: For each assignment, you can add a description for the student before the assignment starts and some documentations, attachments like workbooks, e-books, videos, etc. so they can use them to finish the task.
- Other assignment settings: In addition, there are other assignment settings such as duration (deadline), maximum score (mark), passing grade – the grade required to pass the assignment, the number of repetitions, the number of files to can upload and the file size limit that students can upload.
- How instructors can review assignments: In the backend, the instructor can review the Assignment tab where the assignments for the course they are teaching will be displayed. The assignment will also display the number of students taking the course.
- How grades are made: The teacher can check the student's submission, give the grade (mark), add some notes for the student. If the assignment does not meet the requirement, after grading it, they can choose Reassess to allow the student to resubmit their work. This will send an email to the student notifying them of the teacher's note.
