WooCommerce Order Approval
WooCommerce Order Approval integrates seamlessly into your WooCommerce system, allowing you to approve or reject all orders placed by customers.
How WooCommerce Order Approval works:
APPROVAL WORKFLOW
Once installed and activated, WooCommerce Order Approval allows you to reject or approve all orders placed by customers according to one of two workflows (which you select via the Settings menu):
1 – Pay and wait for approval: The customer will normally place the order just like any WooCommerce order. The site administrator can approve or reject the order lately. In both cases, the customer will receive a notification email.
2 – Wait for approval and payment: the customer will place the order without being charged. Once the order is marked as approved, the customer will need to pay manually through the order details page.
APPROVAL TIMELINE
Customers (registered and invited) can track the order approval status through a visual timeline displayed on the order details page. Each step text can be customized through the text menu.
LIVE UPDATED TIMELINE
Order status timeline is updated live! This means that the user does not need to manually refresh the page to find out the current order approval status!
TIME SELECTOR OPTION
WooCommerce Order Approval offers the option to display a time picker on the checkout form. This can be very useful for food delivery services!
EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
Whenever the order reaches Approved or Rejected status, WooCommerce Order Approval will send an email notification to the customer. The text of the notification messages can be customized through the Text menu.
NOTE: WooCommerce Order Approval does not support third party personalization email plugins. The template can be manually modified and copied to the theme folder ({theme_folder}/woocommerce/emails/). The templates are located in the templatesemails folder inside the plugin.
NEW ORDER STATES
To easily keep track of order approval statuses, three new statuses will be added: Awaiting Approval, Rejected, Approved.
APPROVAL/DECLINE LINKS INTEGRATED IN ADMINISTRATOR'S NEW ORDER EMAIL
WooCommerce Order Approval embeds in the new order email sent to the admin the links to directly approve or reject the newly placed order.
CANCELLATION OF THE ORDER BY THE CUSTOMER
Through the Options menu, you can enable the option to allow the customer to cancel the order once it has been approved. Cancellation can be done in X minutes, where X can be set via option.
AUTOMATIC CANCELLATION OF THE ORDER IF NOT PAID
The order can be optionally canceled by the system if, once approved and if it is necessary to pay, the user does not make the payment in X minutes, where X can be configured in the options menu.
NOTE: The cancellation of the order will be made when the user accesses the order details page.
AUTOMATIC APPROVAL OF ORDER BY PAYMENT GATEWAY, SHIPPING METHOD, COUPONS, PRODUCTS, CATEGORIES, USER ROLE OR ORDER SUBTOTAL!
The order can be optionally configured to be automatically approved based on the payment gateway, shipping method, specific products/categories, user roles, or order subtotal (sum of product costs excluding tax).
Note: WooCommerce Order Approval only supports shipping methods defined with the native WooCommerce functionalities. NO SUPPORT for 3rd party plugins.
In case of automatic approval by products and categories, the store admin can choose two different strategies:
1 – Manual approval only for the selected products/categories: if the order does not contain any of the selected products or categories, it will be automatically approved
2 – Automatically approved for the selected products/categories: if the order contains at least one of the selected products or categories, the order will be automatically approved; otherwise, it will require a manual approval by the store manager.
