THE IDEA
It happens that a store manager needs to share some files with a customer after a purchase. Those files have to be approved or rejected by the client. Eventually, the customer should be able to leave a message explaining the reason for their actions. This process should continue until the client approves the file!
WooCommerce File Approval is designed to meet this need! The store manager can now create all the attachments they need for an order! Each attached file will have its file and its message thread that will allow communication with the client. Each attachment has some additional options, such as the "reply policy" (how often the user can post a message) and the "file title".
How WooCommerce File Approval Works: THE APPROVAL WORKFLOW
The process is simple:
1: The administrator, through the order details page, attaches one or more files. For each of them, you can leave a message. Once saved, a notification email is sent to the user
2: The user, through the order details page, can approve or reject the attachment. You can optionally leave a message. Once done, a notification is sent to the administrator
3: Admin can re-attach a new file or just post a message for more information (so the process goes through step 1 again)

Attached messages are displayed through a nice visual sequence style.
CUSTOMER ATTACHMENTS TO ANSWERS
With WooCommerce File Approval Optionally, you can enable the option to allow customer files to be attached to responses. This way, if a client needs to send you more information about the current file approval process, they can eventually share some files with you!
EMAIL NOTIFICATION
Every time the admin edits the attachments (so the user needs to re-approve or reject them) or posts a message, the customer receives an email notification. The same thing happens when the client approves/rejects an attachment or if they post a message.
Email texts can be configured (and eventually translated via WPML) via the special WooCommerce File Approval Email Texts menu.
REMINDER EMAILS
In case an order after 24 hours still has some files that still need to be approved/rejected by the customer, WooCommerce File Approval can send a reminder notification. You can set the reminder interval (daily, twice a day, weekly, etc.) and customize the email text.
AUTOMATIC APPROVAL
If the customer does not take an action within X hours, the WooCommerce File Approval plugin can automatically approve those files. A notification will be sent to the administrator and the client notifying about the action!
NEW FEATURED CONTENT
Whenever the admin edits an attachment or adds a new message, those contents will be highlighted on the frontend for better customer response. The same thing happens when a customer leaves a message: on the admin's order details page, the new message will be highlighted.

KEEP YOUR SERVER CLEAN
Attachments are uploaded to the WordPress media gallery and are limited to order. Once an attachment is removed, the associated file will be removed automatically. If an order is deleted, all associated files will be deleted.
WPML
WooCommerce File Approval is compatible with the WPML translation plugin. You will then be able to customize and translate the texts of the emails through the special menu.
